Many resources available are complex and not suitable for students with low reading abilities, this is why I took the time and found these resources. This is a terms planning for a mixed ability class. I swapped lesson 6 to lesson 5, the broad beans took off and I was able to show the students germination. Students gently held the seeds, and discussed the small shoot and the roots, this helped consolidate their learning. The students then re-planted their seeds. I also had the pleasure of leading Forest Schools, students discovered habitats discussed food chains. Seeds should cost no more than a £1 Sunflower & Broad bean. I created this planning for a class of specific students with learning difficulties and behavioural issues. I have added quite a lot of differentiation throughout the planning to support students as the class has mixed abilities.
